In school, Ashlyn's class made ice cream in a bag. So we just tried it at home. Turned out pretty good. We should have had more ice, but we didn't have time to freeze more. So ours set up okay, but would have been more so with more ice. Taste wise it was really good.
There are a ton of recipe's online. It's usually a combination of milk, half and half, sugar and vanilla. And you'll need 2 sizes of freezer bags, ice and rock salt.
Mix the milk, half and half, sugar and vanilla in the quart size freezer bag. Get as much air out as you can and seal. Put this bag in a gallon freezer bag with ice and salt. And shake the bajesus out of it.
It will start to firm up after about 10-15 minutes.
Pull the small bag out when firm enough.
Dump in bowl.
Add sprinkles, fruit or other toppings.
Good flavor, was very good.
