We recently tried a new recessed light fixture by the company TorchStar. Boy did we hit gold. This light rocks and it's the best light I've ever had in my kitchen. I will definitely be putting these in other places besides my kitchen. Let's get right down to the low down on these lights.
I purchased one single light initially to try it, I quickly bought a pack of 4 after that to finish out my kitchen. I do not use the dimmable option, but it is there.
Energy Efficient: save up to 87% in electricity from your lights.
Long Lifespan: up to 32 years or 35,000 hours (based on 3 hours a day usage). When I'm 74 I'll stop back and give ya an update to confirm this.
Design: the design of this light makes for a little wiggle room between 5" and 6" recessed lighting housings.
Easy to Install: this literally took 30 seconds to install. Easy Peasy Lemon Squeezy. It's a Plug n Play type. Comes with standard E26/E27 screw base adapter, EZ connector, directly fit into light socket in housing.
Looks nice huh?
This is sooooooooooooooo nice in the kitchen now. Love Love LOVE how bright they are.
Jeez, someone should have put those dishes away and made those muffins before photographing.
Aside from being fantastically bright, my other most favorite feature is they are an instant on. So no waiting for lights to 'warm up'. I have no patience for that.
Here's a little video to show you just how easy they are to install. Starring Husband as the Install Guy.
What awesomely bright lights do you use? Have you ever tried TorchStar?
